About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to carry out rebuilds on a range of heavy off road machinery, including loaders, and material handlers and terminal tractors. You'll work in a fully equipped refurbishment workshop with access to quality tooling and support.

Location: Tauriko, Tauranga

Status: Base $42.44 p/h Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Full stripdown and rebuild of port equipment
  • Replacing / repairing machinery components
  • Servicing machinery
  • Diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy loaders, excavators, forklifts & trucks
  • Repairs to attachments, grapples & log heads

Who we're after:

  • Must have a NZQA Level 4 Trade Qualification (or overseas equivalent)
  • Proven experience working on heavy vehicles and machinery.
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic systems.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Bring a positive, can-do attitude to the role.
