He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

As Unit Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day management of catering, cleaning, and laundry services at one of our Christchurch sites. You'll lead a passionate team, ensure compliance, and deliver exceptional service standards while managing budgets and fostering strong client relationships. This is a Permanent Full Time position.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of contract delivery, ensuring services meet client expectations and Compass standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop your team, driving performance and engagement.
  • Monitor budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety, and environmental standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, identifying opportunities for growth and retention.

  • Proven experience managing teams in hospitality or facilities services.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene practices.
  • Ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and deliver operational excellence.
