Lead and inspire your team to deliver exceptional care, fostering inclusivity and building long-lasting relationships - Enjoy genuine appreciation from residents for your vital role in their wellbeing - Experience a dynamic work environment, keeping your skills sharp - Grow your career with Ryman: Develop, care, and make a difference **About the Role** We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical leadership team as a Unit Coordinator for the Special Care Unit at Kevin Hickman Retirement Village located in Christchurch.**The role includes working Monday to Sunday, 0730- 1600** with a shared on-call component.** - As the Special Care Unit Coordinator, you will use your nursing and people skills to:_ - Provide leadership, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring care is always _"good enough for mum and dad"_ - Foster the Ryman culture which promotes a safe and enjoyable work experience for your team - Ensure all care is continuously assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated to meet the needs of each resident within the Special Care Unit - Actively engage with resident's families/whānau, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and District Health Boards, creating lasting relationships - Perform and support your nursing team to conduct interRAI assessments - Intermittently provide additional time outside rostered hours to attend events, support team members or residents and families as needed - Dedicate quality time with your team, including flexibility of rostered hours on different shifts to connect with all team members within the unit - Communicate effectively and efficiently with your team that promotes respect and trust - Participate as a positive and trusting member of a team that works together as one - Provide support to your Clinical Manager and Village Manager **About You** - To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:_- A current APC (annual practising certificate) - interRAI training or willingness to gain competency - Extensive experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing Leader - The ability to lead, share knowledge and motivate your team - Kindness, compassion, and drive, to deliver exceptional care to our residents - Flexibility to share responsibilities of the on-call component with other Unit Coordinators as per a roster coordinated by the Village Manager **About Ryman** **At Ryman, we believe the measure of a full life is one that gets richer with age.
