Prolife Foods, one of the largest food manufacturers in New Zealand who have a well established presence within New Zealand, Australia and Singapore. We also have a wider international business unit that has a key focus on selling in our honey products we locally collect and produce. Our key brand is The Carefillery - a self selection offering of snacks, nuts and confectionary that in New Zealand you will see in PaknSave and New World Supermarkets.

Our fabulous Customer Services team are on the hunt for their next superstar. Customer Services are the central hub who support across all our departments whether they are within the head office site, or our remote sales and merchandiser teams who work across stores up and down the country.

The core responsibility of this role is to provide exceptional customer service and represent the company as a first point of contact over the phone and at the reception desk. You will be responsible for incoming calls, taking orders and managing customer requests, supporting our Sales Managers who work in the Supermarkets and also our external providers including freighters. You will need to be organised, tidy and be competent with computers.

This is a great step into an office based role to gain exposure and experience working within a business that makes great food for local and international customers. And all located in the Mighty Waikato.

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisation skills, not just for yourself, but for other stakeholders and business partners that form part of the processes.
  • Good clerical and computer skills (Microsoft) along with the ability to pick up and understand internal computer systems.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise, as this will be tested on a regular basis.
  • A professional manner and appearance.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Lastly, you'll have a great positive outlook on when things get a little tough, get through and come out the otherside in a better place.
