About the Role

This position covers all duties associated with managing commercial properties, including:

  • Lead day-to-day maintenance and repairs, coordinating contractors and ensuring high-quality outcomes for every property.
  • Champion building compliance, including BWOF processes and regular inspections, keeping our sites safe and up to standard.
  • Take ownership of insurance tasks, from renewals and valuations to managing claims and make-safe work.
  • Build strong relationships with tenants and landlords, providing exceptional service and proactive communication.
  • Support our Commercial Property Managers with budgeting, reporting, lease administration, and operational tasks.
  • Oversee the smooth running of each property, including preventative maintenance, cleaning, security, and landscaping services.
  • Help grow and optimise the property portfolio, assisting with vacancy management, lease negotiations, and securing new management opportunities.

You'll be the go-to person for maintenance, repairs, contractor coordination, compliance, Building Warrants of Fitness, insurance processes, tenant requests, and general facility operations across multiple sites. No two days will be the same, your work will help ensure our buildings are safe, well-maintained, compliant, and running efficiently.

This role suits someone who is organised, solutions-focused, comfortable managing multiple tasks, and confident communicating with a wide range of people.

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in facilities management, property management, building services, or a related field (preferred)
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Confidence working with contractors, tenants, and landlords
  • Understanding of NZ Health & Safety legislation and building compliance
  • A practical mindset and a willingness to "pitch in" as part of a cohesive team
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
  • Tech confidence, ideally with property management systems (Re-leased experience a bonus)
