Senior Civil Engineer – Lead and Deliver Infrastructure Projects (Hamilton, NZ)

We're seeking a
Senior Civil Engineer
to lead and deliver
civil and land development projects
from concept through to completion. This role offers leadership responsibility across design, contract administration, construction supervision, and client management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end civil engineering projects
  • Prepare designs, contract documentation, tendering, and contract admin
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and field staff
  • Oversee construction observation and certification of works
  • Manage client, contractor, and local authority coordination
  • Guide projects through consent and regulatory approvals
  • Uphold QA, Health & Safety, and compliance standards

Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in
    civil design, land development, and site supervision
  • Experience in
    3-waters, geotechnical, or traffic
    highly valued
  • Skilled in contract management and regulatory approvals
  • Proficient in engineering software + Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communicator and report writer
  • Able to
    lead teams and build strong client relationships

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or related)
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or working toward
  • Full driver's licence
