Key Worker

Due to increased demand Te Taumata o Ngāti Whakaue Iho Ake Trust is seeking to recruit two additional Key Workers to join our Housing Team based in Rotorua. This full-time position will see you playing a vital role in supporting our clients and contributing to the wellbeing of our local community.
What you'll be doing
- Actively deliver a culturally competent service to clients as required
- Collaborating with the wider support team to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to client care
- Deliver high quality support services to mānaha on the Housing First programme
- Providing compassionate and empathetic support to our clients, tailoring your approach to their unique needs and circumstances using Te Taumata values and principles
- Actively work with clients to identify goals and support needs
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support the delivery of high-quality services
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of our clients and staff
What we're looking for
- A genuine passion for supporting and empowering members of the community
- Relevant experience in a community-based or social services role, preferably in a client-facing capacity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a flexible and adaptable approach
- An understanding and appreciation of Māori culture, values, and traditions
- A clean and current driver's licence
