Due to increased demand Te Taumata o Ngāti Whakaue Iho Ake Trust is seeking to recruit two additional Key Workers to join our Housing Team based in Rotorua. This full-time position will see you playing a vital role in supporting our clients and contributing to the wellbeing of our local community.

What you'll be doing

  • Actively deliver a culturally competent service to clients as required
  • Collaborating with the wider support team to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to client care
  • Deliver high quality support services to mānaha on the Housing First programme
  • Providing compassionate and empathetic support to our clients, tailoring your approach to their unique needs and circumstances using Te Taumata values and principles
  • Actively work with clients to identify goals and support needs
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support the delivery of high-quality services
  • Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of our clients and staff

What we're looking for

  • A genuine passion for supporting and empowering members of the community
  • Relevant experience in a community-based or social services role, preferably in a client-facing capacity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • An understanding and appreciation of Māori culture, values, and traditions
  • A clean and current driver's licence
