He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team at Diocesan School in Epsom, Auckland. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality catering services, ensuring food is prepared and presented to a high standard, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff. This is a Permanent Part Time position from Monday to Friday.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and presenting food, including salads and vegetables, and portioning meals.
• Deliver friendly and professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain clean and hygienic kitchen and dining areas, including equipment and stock rotation.
• Communicate effectively with team members and follow routine instructions.
• Support the team by washing dishes and performing other duties as required by the Unit Manager.
• He kōrero mōu / About you:A reliable team player who can also work independently.
• Physically fit, hardworking, and flexible in your approach.
• Strong communication skills with a warm and professional manner.
• Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is preferred.
• Holds or is willing to obtain a NZQA Food Handling Certificate and Police Clearance.
