About the role

This is an exciting full-time opportunity to join The Lakes Clinic in Epsom, Auckland as a Medical Receptionist. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our busy medical practice.

What you'll be doing

  1. Greeting patients and visitors with a friendly and professional manner
  2. Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic's appointment calendar
  3. Answering and directing incoming phone calls
  4. Preparing and maintaining patient files and medical records
  5. Assisting with general office duties such as filing, photocopying and ordering supplies
  6. Providing a high level of customer service to patients
  7. Adhering to all practice policies, procedures and medical compliance requirements

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service-focused role
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of patients
  3. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  4. Proficient in using computer systems and medical software- MED TEC EVOLUTION
  5. A compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with patients
  6. A team player who is adaptable and flexible
  7. Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities
