This is an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Practice Lead to work in the Planning and Delivery team. They are responsible for portfolio governance of investment programmes in the Customer, Products and Services (CP&S) business unit, delivery centre of excellence and execution of major programmes. This role will be the key driver to create and embed delivery centre of excellence and best practices across CP&S investment programmes

What are some day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete?

As a Delivery Practice Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and embedding delivery practice across the Customer Product & Services (CP&S) investment programmes. This includes:

  • Creating consistent and standardised governance and delivery best practices that are fit for purpose for CP&S investment programmes and delivery functions.
  • Rolling out and embedding delivery practices across CP&S.
  • Developing and embedding CP&S resource management and prioritisation framework.
  • Supporting CP&S Delivery Office activities as required.

What is your management style?

I like to give my team plenty of autonomy but provide guidance up front and always make time for a discussion if needed. I am available as an escalation and to provide support to remove roadblocks.

To be successful in this role the candidate needs to utilise their strong influencing skills to embed best delivery practices. The specific skillset includes:

  • Proven experience establishing and embedding delivery best practice.
  • Proven programme management experience.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, ability to influence senior stakeholders including Head of's and GM's.
  • Strategic and critical thinking and ability to connect the dots.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile processes, facilitation and project management.
  • Proficient in Jira and Confluence.
