Location:Radius Thornleigh Park, 25 Heta Road, Highlands Park, New Plymouth 4312

Fixed Term: Maternity Leave, to cover an employee who has gone on a period of leave.

Hours of work: 15 hours per week, over a rotating roster

Pay rate: Subject to completed caregiving qualifications

About the role:

Provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans. Full training provided.

Duties include:

  • Undertaking personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independence
  • Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner
  • Responding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant information
  • Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records
  • Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes

Skills and Experience:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 (or equivalent) and 3 years of relevant experience; OR New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent).
  • People skills + empathy for our residents and their families
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to work rostered night shifts
