**About the role**:
New Plymouth Hospital was established in 1983 and is the only private surgical hospital in the city. We provide services to around 6000 patients each year. Our dedicated, fun team provides services and excellent post-operative nursing care across a wide range of elective surgical services, including orthopaedic surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, oral and facial maxillary, urology, otolaryngology (ENT), plastic reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, and general and endoscopic surgery.

We currently have a position available for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our Day Stay team and assist the Registered Nurses to deliver excellent care to our patients. This role is a full-time position, working a maximum of 80 hours per fortnight, rostered duties.

To be successful you will need:

- Previous experience within a Healthcare setting (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills and be a team player
- To be flexible/adaptable and to respond positively to the changing needs of the business
- Certificate in Healthcare Support or equivalent (desirable)
