**About the Role**
Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking the services of a part time health care assistant to work in the Child and Adolescent Community Centre at Taranaki Base Hospital. You would be working as part of a diverse team including registered nurses, allied health staff, medical staff, social workers and administrators. The Child and Adolescent Centre offers outpatient clinics and therapy sessions for the children, young people and families in Taranaki. The health care assistant is a support role and tasks may include housekeeping duties to improve and maintain the facility, ordering of linen and consumables, administration and reception work, clinical tasks such as recording height, weight and vital signs for paediatric clinics, monitoring and ordering outpatient consumables and vaccines, participating in cold chain management.
**About You**
You will possess essential skills that include having the ability to engage positively with children, young people, families and a range of health professionals and support staff. You will have the ability to work independently as part of a team, by showing initiative and ownership of key tasks that will enhance the CACC environment for families and staff. You will make valuable contributions to the department by using your time efficiently and effectively and by taking a pride in your work to achieve defined goals.
Ideally you will hold a healthcare qualification or have the desire and ability to complete one
