About the role - Mō te tūranga

As our Data Lead, you'll be in a pivotal role where you're going to be working closely with your key stakeholders. You'll bring fresh ideas and best practice to deliver real impact across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mentor and grow our analytics team, fostering a culture of excellence
  • Lead the development and deployment of AI-powered analytics solutions
  • Architect and implement unified data access and governance strategies
  • Collaborate on cloud migration and integration initiatives
  • Deliver actionable insights and identify opportunities for automation and predictive modelling

What will you bring? – Ōu Pūkenga?

We're looking for a hands-on data professional with a commercial mindset and a passion for making a difference. You'll have the technical skills and experience to drive change and support our transformation and growth journey.

Additionally, you'll have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in data lead, analytics, or data engineering roles
  • Demonstrated commercial experience with Python and SQL
  • Proven expertise in AI/ML and cloud technologies
  • Experience in a top 200 company (transport and logistics, manufacturing, telco, or power sector preferred)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
