Fleetwise was established in 1995 and is New Zealand's leading independent fleet management organisation. Our SaaS solutions are designed for vehicle management and booking and are utilised by over 30,000+ users across Australia and New Zealand.
Our solutions serve different purposes, the Fleet Intelligence System helps clients manage vehicle data, track expenses, and handle scheduled jobs. The Pooled Vehicle Booking System streamlines vehicle reservations, monitors usage, and analyses utilisation patterns. We're in the initial phase of developing a new solution that combines both products into a single offering, designed with a high degree of customisation and flexibility.
Fleetwise is growing quickly and, as we move into new markets, is looking to scale up our internal development capability to progress a number of new and exciting projects.
About the role:We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience to join our Palmerston North team. This role involves designing and developing robust software, writing clean and well-documented code, conducting thorough testing, and providing ongoing support for the systems you create. You'll join a small dynamic, customer-centric team, tackling real-world challenges and constantly enhancing our processes.
In the role you will:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable solutions using ASP.NET and Angular.
- Take ownership of technical delivery for solutions and systems, from design through production.
- Contribute to the improvement of our architecture, standards, and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with product manager, and other engineers to deliver impactful solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on quality and performance.
- Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and reliability issues proactively.
- Conduct thoughtful code reviews and share knowledge to elevate technical standards.
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer, with involvement across the entire product lifecycle.
- Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, and SQL Server or similar technologies.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, TypeScript or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, preferably Azure.
- Understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, preferably Azure DevOps
- A willingness to learn, to adapt to try new things, or take on a different perspective.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with attention to details.
- Experience with ASP.Net Zero or ABP Framework is a bonus.
