What you will do

  • Manage all aspects of laboratory operations across Mount Maunganui and Timaru
  • Lead method development and validation for new and existing assays (such as NIR, GC, GC-MS, LCMS/HPLC)
  • Coach, develop, and lead the laboratory team to achieve operational excellence
  • Implement and maintain ISO 17025 compliance, preparing the lab for future accreditation
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, laboratory investigations, and KPI reporting

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Chemistry or related discipline
  • Experience in method development, validation, and lab management
  • Knowledge of implementing and maintaining ISO 17025 compliance
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and culture-building skills
  • Experience with laboratory systems (LIMS/ERP) and analytical techniques (such as NIR, GC, GC-MS, LCMS/HPLC)
