As a Product (Sustaining) Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around identifying and addressing any operational and quality issues, as well as developing specifications, drawings, and conducting testing solve any findings. This position requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and a passion for sustainable transportation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, manufacturing, and design, to identify and resolve quality issues in our
- Conduct thorough investigations and root cause analyses to identify the underlying causes of product failures, and propose effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain specifications, drawings, and documentation related to product design, components, and manufacturing processes.
- Create detailed specifications, drawings, and prototypes for new electric bike models, considering functionality, durability, safety, and sustainability. Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of sustainable features into the product design.
- Perform testing, including reliability testing, performance testing, and failure analysis, to evaluate the performance and durability of our electric bikes.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to drive continuous improvement in product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Support the development of design changes and improvements by providing technical expertise and guidance.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and regulations related to electric bikes and ensure compliance in all product design and manufacturing activities.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in the electric vehicle industry to provide valuable insights for product development and improvement.

**BUILD on your experience**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the electric vehicle or bike industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices, including design, analysis, and testing.
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and other relevant engineering tools.
- Familiarity with quality control methods, including root cause analysis, failure analysis, and statistical process control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

**Work Environment &Physical Requirements**
- Primarily work in an office setting
- May also be required to spend time in manufacturing facilities and test laboratories,
- conduct product testing and collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers.
- may involve occasional exposure to physical hazards and the need to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
- Sit or stand for extended periods of time while working on a computer or collaborating with colleagues.
- Move within the office, manufacturing facilities, and test laboratories to perform job responsibilities effectively.
- Lift and carry equipment or objects, weighing up to a certain limit, during testing or project-related activities.
- Use manual dexterity and perform precise movements for tasks such as assembling or disassembling components or conducting tests.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure personal safety and the safety of others in the work environment.
