He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role

We're looking for a passionate and motivated Service Manager to join our well-established, high-performing team in the heart of Tauranga. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of tangata whaiora, leading a dedicated team within our 12-bed, 24/7 residential service.

In this role, you'll provide strong, compassionate leadership, ensuring high-quality care and support for the people we serve. You'll oversee both client care and staff management, while also contributing to incident response, budgeting, recruitment, performance management, and professional development.

Collaboration and relationship building are central to this position, you'll work closely with internal teams and external partners across the sector to strengthen outcomes for tangata whaiora.

This is a permanent, full-time role (Monday to Friday) with on-call responsibilities.

He kōrero mōu | About You

·Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Level 7) such as a degree in management, social services, psychology, nursing, or equivalent experience; APC advantageous

·Minimum of 2 years' management experience, including leading, supporting, and motivating teams

·At least 2 years' experience in the mental health or social services sector, working with clients with high and complex needs

·Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with tangata whaiora, staff, and external stakeholders to achieve service objectives

·Strong cultural competency and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·Strong computer literacy; confident using computer programs for reporting, rostering, and communication

·Full New Zealand driver's license and permanent work rights in New Zealand
