Service Foods is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Manager to lead our state-of-the-art distribution facility in Tauriko, Tauranga.

**You’ll play a key part in shaping the success of our operations in Te Moana-a-Toitehuatahi.**

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of this branch. This is a permanent, full-time role reporting directly to the GM of Tauranga.

**Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role**:
Our Operations Manager will lead, oversee and manage all operational aspects of our recently established distribution facility located in Porutu place, Tauriko. This is a full time permanent role reporting to GM Tauranga.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage day-to-day operations, including warehouse management, inventory control, fleet and logistics.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency, improve productivity, and reduce costs.
- Oversee the scheduling and allocation of resources to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders and excellent customer service.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of line managers, supervisors, and frontline staff.
- Monitor operational costs, identify improvement opportunities, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Diligently manage expenses, including operations, wage costs, overheads, and wastage.
- Ensure FIFO stock rotation, Manage and limit missing stock, stock returns, and quarantined goods by minimising errors and credits
- Implement and enforce health and safety and food safety protocols
- Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Analyse performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, systems, and overall operational effectiveness.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**:
You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in operations management, warehousing, logistics, or a related business field. Ideally, you will have:

- A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in the warehouse/logistics sector (experience in the foodservice industry is a plus).
- Strong expertise in operations management, planning, reporting, performance monitoring, and evaluation.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams with a focus on operational efficiency and health and safety.
