Newmarket, New Zealand PCG OCEANIA LIMITED Full time NZ$60,000 - NZ$90,000 per year

About PCG Oceania

PCG Oceania Limited is a New Zealand-based renewable energy company and clean energy investor, committed to driving the country's transition to sustainable power. With our own fund platform, we act not only as a project developer but also as a long-term investment partner, providing financial strength and stability to deliver large-scale solar and energy storage projects.

Our business covers:

Ÿ   Commercial & Industrial and Agricultural Solar – rooftop and ground-mounted systems that help clients cut electricity costs by up to 50%.

Ÿ   Solar + Battery Integration – boosting energy independence, cutting carbon emissions, and improving resilience.

Ÿ   Solar Farm Development – large-scale, grid-connected projects that we develop and own for long-term clean energy supply.

At PCG Oceania, we combine investment capability and technical expertise to deliver end-to-end renewable energy solutions — from development and engineering, through construction and grid connection, to long-term operation under our management.

Join us and be part of a team that is building and owning the next generation of New Zealand's clean energy assets, creating both financial value and environmental impact.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to join PCG Oceania's renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of solar and energy storage projects — from feasibility assessment and business development through to construction, funding coordination, and project handover. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a solid understanding of renewable energy or related industries, and the ability to work across teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct preliminary assessments of renewable energy projects, including feasibility, risk management, and investment committee support (meeting notes and issue follow-up).
  2. Manage the full project lifecycle within the assigned region — from identifying business opportunities through to project execution.
  3. Review commercial terms and evaluate agreements.
  4. Draft, refine, and implement business process workflows and policies.
  5. Support PCG Oceania in reviewing project commencement applications, supervise the issuance of construction notices, review project construction schedules, and monitor execution.
  6. Assist in reviewing project funding plans, coordinate with the finance team to ensure optimal use of construction funds.
  7. Support procurement planning, coordinate with the supply chain to meet material requirements, review completion handover lists, and oversee surplus material management.
  8. Manage and assess partners: review partner qualifications and track records, set entry standards, and develop post-evaluation mechanisms.
  9. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or above (Project Management, Energy, Business, or related fields preferred).
  2. Experience in the solar PV or renewable energy industry is highly desirable.
  3. Solid understanding of project compliance documentation, commercial terms, and project implementation processes, with the ability to review contracts.
  4. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  5. Excellent execution, communication, and coordination abilities, with proven cross-team collaboration experience.
  6. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  7. Excellent written and spoken English; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
  8. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  9. Full NZ driver's licence (Class 1).
  10. Valid New Zealand residence visa.
