Overview

We're looking for a practical, detail-oriented Solar Engineer to help us deliver a pipeline of large-scale solar farm projects across New Zealand. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing detailed design drawings and providing engineering support throughout construction.  You may also have some civil/general engineering experience.

Employment details


• Hours: 40 hours per week

• Engagement: Permanent full time

• Location: Auckland/Hybrid

Flexible working arrangement with default WFH 4 days per week, but the option to work more from our waterfront office if preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Design

· Prepare detailed design packs for both internal and external projects.

· Create single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and layout drawings that align with NZ standards

· Contribute to project scoping and tendering.

Construction

· Provide engineering support to ensure install matches the design and meets standards.

· Work with the team to resolve issues during construction and commissioning.

· Prepare as-built drawings

Skills & Experience

· Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

· years of experience in solar/electrical design

· Deep understanding of Australian/New Zealand electrical standards

· Excellent AutoCAD skills

· Experience using Rated Power

· Comfortable working autonomously in a lean, fast‑moving team; able to prioritise and meet deadlines.

· Clear written and verbal communication; confident engaging with stakeholders and suppliers.
