**Opportunity with CMW Geosciences**
We are looking for an experienced** Principal** **Geotechnical Engineer** who can be based in one of our locations across **New Zealand**. As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer at CMW, you will be required to work closely with and mentor a team of Geotechnical Engineers by delivering design solutions, providing advice and technical support.
Furthermore you will be involved in:
- Working with the technical team to develop, provide and promote design solutions, options and initiatives to meet client needs
- Planning and monitoring the use of resources and expenditure to meet internal & external objectives
- Ensuring that the projects are completed on time and within budget
- Develop/contribute to technical presentations and publications as required and attend forums - conferences and symposia to promote CMW
- Our teams are engaged working on a variety of work some of which includes:_
- _Variety of infrastructure projects_
- _Renewable energy projects (wind, solar & geothermal)_
- _Commercial & Residential land development projects_

**Skills and Experience required**:
- You will hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or similar
- Have a minimum of 15 years of experience working in a consulting engineering environment
- Having a professional Engineering (CPEng) status or working towards it would be held in high regard
- Experience with managing and reviewing technical project documents is a must
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail is a must
- Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written as you will be dealing with various internal and external stakeholders at different levels
- You will also need to have good computer literacy skills and be proficient with various MS Office products and other systems
