Job Description
We're seeking an experienced and adaptable Receptionist / Dental Assistant to join our Practice in Albany on a fixed-term contract through to June 2026 (with the possibility of extension).
In this dual role, you'll play an integral part in both the front office and clinical areas – welcoming patients with warmth, assisting clinicians chairside, and helping ensure the smooth, efficient running of our day-to-day operations.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Welcoming and assisting patients with professionalism and care.
- Managing appointments, patient records, and payments efficiently.
- Supporting clinicians chairside and maintaining a sterile, organised clinical environment.
- Handling general administrative duties and ensuring the reception area runs seamlessly.
- Contributing to a supportive, team-oriented culture where every patient feels valued.

Periocare Albany
- Tuesday – Friday, with the possibility of occasional Mondays as required.
Qualifications
Your experience and approach
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- A minimum of 2 years' Dental Assisting experience (essential).
- Reception experience or a willingness to learn (preferred).
- Knowledge of Exact dental software (advantageous, but not essential).
- General IT competency and confidence with digital systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A friendly, professional manner and strong attention to detail.
- A flexible, proactive attitude, including availability to work Tuesday–Friday with occasional Mondays as needed.
- A team-focused approach and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
