We're looking for an Automation Test Lead to play a pivotal role in transforming how digital services are delivered. You'll lead test automation strategy and execution across web, API, integration, and performance layers, embedding quality at every stage of the development lifecycle.

Working within a modern Agile/SAFe delivery model, you'll be the technical authority for automation and quality engineering — guiding teams, influencing best practice, and ensuring testing is seamlessly integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated tests across web, API, and integration layers
  • Drive adoption of quality engineering and shift-left practices across Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
  • Embed test automation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI)
  • Mentor and uplift testers across teams, promoting consistency and continuous improvement
  • Champion accessibility, usability, and performance in all digital products

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years' experience in Agile/SAFe testing environments
  • 3+ years' hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks
  • Proven expertise in API and integration testing (Postman, SOAPUI, RestSharp)
  • Strong performance testing experience (LoadRunner or JMeter)
  • CI/CD automation experience – Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
  • Programming/scripting in C# (.NET) or JavaScript
  • Solid understanding of DevOps, shift-left, and modern quality practices
  • Experience working in enterprise or public sector environments

Bonus points if you have:

  • SQL/database or ETL testing experience
  • Exposure to geospatial systems
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing (WCAG, Axe, WAVE)
  • Experience using BrowserStack for compatibility testing
  • Awareness of security testing tools like OWASP ZAP
