OneStaff is looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Technician to join a leading nationwide truck and bus service provider. This is a great opportunity to work on high-quality vehicles, expand your skills, and be part of a supportive, team-focused environment.

The Role:

You'll be responsible for diagnosing faults, completing repairs, and performing scheduled maintenance using OEM diagnostic tools such as Volvo Tech Tool. You'll collaborate with experienced technicians, mentor apprentices, and continue developing your expertise through both in-house and OEM training.

Experience with Volvo, Mack, or Hino vehicles is highly valued, and holding Volvo tickets is a definite advantage.

This is a full-time role (minimum 40 hours/week) with a rostered Saturday. There is also an expectation to participate in rostered after-hours callouts and occasional travel for work or training.

What We're Looking For:

  • NZQA Level 4 National Certificate in Heavy Road Transport (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience as a heavy diesel technician (truck brands essential- Volvo, Mack, or Hino preferred)
  • Current NZ driver licence (Class 2 minimum, Class 5 preferred or willing to obtain)
  • Strong safety focus and proactive work ethic
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Reliability and a team-focused mindset
