Connex Information Technologies Limited is the New Zealand arm of a regional group with a strong international presence in value-added distribution.

We are seeking Channel and Business Development Executive to help our efforts in developing strategic channel partnerships, expanding our customer network, and strengthening Connex's market presence.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of partnership growth initiatives, drive end-customer and end-user engagement, and align technology solutions to partner and customer challenges, playing a key role in Connex's brand visibility and market engagement in New Zealand market.

What You'll Do

As a Channel and Business Development Executive, you will:

  • Identify, recruit and onboard new channel partners
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets and customer segments
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and growth areas
  • Manage and support existing partners to drive sales performance and achieve revenue goals
  • Develop and implement channel sales strategies and promotional campaigns

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or related discipline
  • 1+ years' experience in business development, partnerships, or account management (experience in IT, networking, cybersecurity, storage, or cloud sectors preferred)
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and partner engagement skills
  • Familiarity with reseller, distributor, and system integrator ecosystems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to link technology solutions to customer outcomes
  • Proactive, commercially minded, and results-driven

Key Deliverables

  • Acquisition of new strategic partners, resellers, and system integrators
  • Strengthened market presence through technology-focused outreach initiatives
  • Growth in customer engagement through end-customer and end-user approach
  • Delivery of successful joint initiatives, proposals, and customer/partner events
  • Regular reporting on partnership, sales, and business development progress

What We Offer

  • Hours: Full-time or part-time (flexibility for meetings and events)
  • Location: Wellington CBD
  • Remuneration: Attractive Salary plus potential performance-based incentives for exceeding sales targets (negotiated with the successful candidate)
