The Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand is dedicated to supporting all those affected by prostate cancer and testicular cancer across Aotearoa. Through their two brands – Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ and Testicular Cancer NZ – they fund vital services, raise awareness, conduct research, and advocate for better outcomes for New Zealand men and their whānau.

The role:

The Events & Community Fundraising Lead will drive their primary income stream, managing a diverse portfolio that will generate approximately $1.7 million annually. You'll lead their flagship peer-to-peer (P2P) campaigns including Blue September and Pedal4Prostate, support community-led fundraising events, and help to launch an exciting new PCFNZ-led event early next year.

This is a strategic yet hands-on role where you'll oversee campaign planning, digital fundraising platforms, and supporter engagement. You'll build meaningful relationships with fundraisers, donors, and community groups while managing the Fundraising Coordinator and volunteers. Working closely with our partner agency Donor Republic and our Corporate and Philanthropy Fundraising Lead plus internal teams, you'll ensure consistent branding and drive income growth across all initiatives.

You will need the following:
  • 5+ years of experience in events, community and peer-to-peer fundraising
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Experience with digital campaigns and fundraising platforms (e.g., Funraisin)
  • Passion for health advocacy and community-driven impact
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders affected by prostate and testicular cancer. You'll work with a passionate team, lead high-profile campaigns, and have the autonomy to innovate and grow their community fundraising impact.

This is a full-time permanent role (40 hours per week) with one direct report, based in Albany, Auckland. The salary range is $95-105k depending on experience.
