Telehealth Doctor 

Join Tāmaki Health as a Telehealth Doctor and play a vital role in improving patient flow and reducing wait times across our clinics. 

This is an excellent opportunity for doctors based overseas within favourable time zones — or New Zealand–based clinicians outside of Auckland & Christchurch — who are looking for flexible, remote clinical work within a well-supported environment.

About the Role

In this role, you will see walk-in patients who have been triaged as appropriate for virtual consultation,  you will be managing patients from a live clinic queue requiring timely assessment and treatment.

We are open to Full-Time, Part-Time, or Casual arrangements depending on your availability.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking clinicians who are confident, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced urgent care environment. You'll work collaboratively with on-site clinical teams, providing timely assessments and management plans for patients streamed to you via telehealth.

You should be someone who brings empathy, clinical excellence, and strong decision-making skills to your practice.

You Will Need to Have

  • Current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand

  • Experience in urgent care, acute medicine, or General Practice (able to work unsupervised)

  • The legal right to work in New Zealand 

  • Current Medical Indemnity Insurance

  • Current ACLS certification

  • Strong communication skills and confidence consulting via telehealth utilising different softwares simulteaniously.

  • Familiarity with MedTech 32, MedTech Evolution, or similar EMR systems (advantageous)

  • A commitment to providing equitable and culturally safe care, with understanding of Māori tikanga, kawa, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
