We are now seeking an experienced Groups Team Leader – ROW to join our high-performing Groups Division.
About the Role
In this key leadership position, you will oversee the operational workflow of our ROW Groups team, ensuring exceptional service delivery, efficiency, and profitability. You'll lead by example—managing daily file distribution, supporting consultants, maintaining service standards, and resolving operational issues—while also acting as a senior Groups Consultant for key agents and suppliers.
Working closely with the Groups General Manager, you'll help refine systems, processes, and quality standards to support PDNZ's continued growth and outstanding reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the ROW Groups team, managing workflow and daily file allocation
- Ensure turnaround times meet PDNZ service standards
- Develop and refine operational systems and processes
- Build high-quality itineraries and deliver exceptional agent service
- Oversee quoting, booking, documentation, and profitability management
- Support consultants with disruptions, customer issues, and supplier coordination
- Maintain strong understanding of client and supplier relationships
- Contribute to supplier negotiations and operational improvements
- Ensure operational activities are efficient, cost-effective, and standardised
- Provide after-hours assistance when required
- Uphold PDNZ's communication standards across all agent interactions
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of New Zealand tourism product
- Proven experience in an ITO Groups environment
- Proficiency in Tourplan
- Excellent organisational skills and sharp attention to detail
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Reliability, professionalism, and a collaborative attitude
- A full clean driver's licence and permanent NZ residency
