Based in modern offices on the North Shore, they have a tight knit team where everyone mucks in and looking to raise funds. They're growing, the work is interesting, and they're now gearing up for a significant fund raise, which is where this project role fits in.

About the Role

This is a proper project role — not BAU, the current team are running the day to day so require support on this project. They need someone to come in and help lift their statutory reporting to the next level. The big focus is restating prior years into a higher reporting tier and making sure future statements are clean, consistent, and timely.

You'll be working closely with the Finance team and external advisors. There's also a solid due-diligence component around the fund raise, so accuracy, clarity, and confidence in the numbers are key.

Key Responsibilities

• Restating prior-year accounts under the updated reporting standard
• Preparing pro-forma financial statements for the upcoming financial year
• Drafting and owning all technical accounting papers
• Working closely with external auditors and the Audit & Risk Committee
• Ensuring alignment between statutory reporting and management reporting
• Supporting the accounting and tax elements of the fund-raise due diligence
• Helping uplift processes and add structure where needed

About You

You'll be someone who's technically strong, comfortable owning a chunky reporting project, and happy working autonomously across all levels, you'll be working with your internal senior finance team and external advisors. 

You'll ask good questions, dig into the detail when needed, and know what "good" looks like in a reporting environment that needs to stand up to scrutiny.

You will be audit trained 

You'll bring:

• CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
• Strong technical accounting experience (IFRS)
• Experience with financial statement tools
• Solid project discipline and comfort working independently
• Experience in complex reporting environments listed or Private Equity most helpful
• We are open to those who have recently left audit at Manager / Senior Level or ideally someone who has already completed a number of years in a commercial environment

Role Details

• Start Date: Ideally before Christmas, Jan start possible at a push
• Contract Length: Through to May/June
• Location: North Shore
• Hourly rate: Will be hugely dependant on experience and thus level of external advisors required but likely $70-100+GST per hour
