We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join one of New Zealand’s largest retail companies based in Manukau. As a newly created role, it has a mixture of transactional and strategic components. This is an exciting position for someone who is wanting to be hands on as well as put policies and strategies in place to ensure the business is meeting compliance and risk.

This role will see you develop and manage the risk and compliance plan focusing on the consumer, fair trading, and privacy regulatory system. Undertake risk assessments, work with projects designed to manage and control the relevant environments. Develop and maintain the organisations consumer regulatory framework and compliance programme with other key stakeholders. Whilst also developing appropriate policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with legislation and best practice is met within the consumer regulatory environment.

To be successful in this role, you must have;
- Sound understanding of business, processes and complexities of the retail operating environment.
- Retail or banking industry experience with a strong understanding of operational and legal risks relevant to consumer compliance.
- Understanding of/experience working with New Zealand regulators and knowledge of their requirements, such as the Commerce Commission and/or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
- Risk management software experience.
- Experience of designing and delivering training programs around compliance.
