Tyler Wren is working with a well-established client of ours to recruit a Compliance & Assurance Manager. They are a leading financial services company based in Auckland and are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Manager with expertise in the Financial Markets Conduct Act (FMCA) to join the Compliance team.

As a Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with the Financial Markets Conduct Act (FMCA) and other relevant regulations. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective compliance frameworks and procedures. Your primary objective will be to ensure that the organisation operates within the legal and regulatory boundaries.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain relevant policies, ensuring all relevant obligations are met.
- Monitor and assess compliance risks, providing guidance and recommendations to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct regular internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to compliance policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and proactively communicate these updates to the relevant teams within the organization.
- Design and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and respond to compliance incidents, ensuring appropriate actions are taken and necessary reporting is conducted.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and enhance compliance processes and controls.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in compliance management, specifically with a focus on the Financial Markets Conduct Act (FMCA).
- Strong knowledge of financial services regulations, industry best practices, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent understanding of the regulatory environment in New Zealand, specifically related to the FMCA.
- Proven track record of implementing and managing compliance programs within a regulated organization.
- Ability to analyse complex regulatory requirements and communicate them effectively to different stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
