No two days are the same. - Ko mātou tēnei | This is Us - We’re uplifting our fraud fighting capabilities and as such have an exciting opportunity to join our Fraud Strategy tīma as a Senior Fraud Strategy Analyst. - This role will play a critical part in the development of BNZ’s fraud detection capability, using a strong understanding of data and statistical analysis to enhance fraud strategies which have large impacts to our operational colleagues and customers. - Mō te Tūranga | About the Role - We sat down with our Manager, Fraud Strategy and they let us know the following about the role: - What are some of the day-to-day tasks the person will complete?- Lead the development of our fraud strategy using data and statistical analysis to enhance fraud rules. Use various data sources and model scoring where available to write rules across multiple systems and detect fraud within appropriate thresholds.- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on projects related to Fraud Strategy and Fraud Operations processes. Use this knowledge to help support and embed new and evolving technologies.- Manage small and medium changes to fraud related systems, proactively managing risk. Participate in large scale change initiatives, supporting change leaders to ensure alignment with end-to-end fraud strategy.- Analyse current processes, practices and detection methods to identify opportunities for improvements- Develop supporting documentation including business requirements or process maps alongside designing reporting and insights to support decision making. - What is the tīma (team) culture and environment like? - We are a small team who make a big difference. There will be plenty of chances to get stuck into new systems and datasets which will ultimately lead to better outcomes for our customers and colleagues. - What skills will the person have in order to be successful?- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to dissect data and identify trends.- Ability to effectively manage expectations and accept accountability for deadlines and outcomes.- Proven agility and flexibility to deal with a fast moving and changing business environment.- Ability to develop, document and maintain operational policies and procedures, including design and documenting of detailed process flows, support plans and reporting.- Ability to build excellent working relationships with diverse business and technology stakeholders.- Curiosity to grow and learn a wider range of systems and services across operational excellence where required.- Existing understanding of model and technology risk management policies. - What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role? - Bring your natural curiosity, proven analytical skills and experience in fraud and/or financial crime to this fast paced and varied role.
