ASB's Fraud Ops team prevent and manage the impact of fraud on our customers, with a strategy underpinned by advanced technology including the use of machine learning and AI. We are looking for two new Fraud Analytics Specialists to join our team on a permanent basis. **Te Tūranga | The role**: As we move ahead with our technology strategy, you will have a pivotal role ensuring we make the most of the exciting new tools available to us. This is an opportunity to combine traditional analytical methods with machine learning techniques, all in the name of protecting our customers. This is a complex and fascinating world, where you will work with a passionate team trying to stay ahead of the fraudsters, and also manage multiple stakeholder relationships. You'll work with a continuous improvement mindset, monitor performance, and recommend changes to Fraud rulesets, balancing fraud alert volumes with customer experience and risk appetite. Your key responsibilities will include: - Undertake all analytics and reporting required for the development and optimisation of fraud monitoring portfolio - Take accountability and ownership of any fraud portfolios assigned to you, ensuring progress is made and priorities are well managed - Ensure systems and processes relating to fraud monitoring are well documented and maintained - Ensure portfolio of fraud monitoring complies to Group Frameworks, policies, and any regulatory requirements - Consistently benchmark fraud monitoring against local and international industry data. **Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?** - 1-2 years with hands-on data analytics (framing and solving problems, presenting results, recommending actions) - Relevant experience with Fraud is ideal - Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills and confidence to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation - Ability to work independently, creating and running scripts to monitor fraud activity across a number of datasets - Ability to identify trends, use knowledge of topical or world events to be able to forecast / predict upcoming Fraud events - Strong communication skills and ability to summarise complex data and analysis in a concise manner - Tertiary qualification in Financial or Statistical Analysis preferred with a sound background in data/analytics.
