Te Whatu Ora Lakes are seeking a Pharmacy Manager / Professional Advisor to lead our fantastic and highly regarded Pharmacy team of approximately budgeted 18 FTE. You will be based at Rotorua hospital and support the safe delivery of a comprehensive, optimized and high quality pharmacy service across Rotorua and Taupō hospitals. You will provide clinical and professional leadership and lead the strategic development of the pharmacy service to ensure that medicine management is progressive and responsive to internal and external demands, patient focused, safe, efficient and well-led. You will have a key role in providing advice and input into medication related clinical governance as a key member of the Hospital Medication Safety Committee.

This position is suitable for a forward thinking and experienced hospital pharmacist with contemporary knowledge of hospital pharmacy practice and relevant NZ medicines regulations and legislation. You must be a registered pharmacist (or be able to register). You will be supported by the Service Manager Clinical Support Services / Director of Allied Health who has a professional background in hospital pharmacy.

Salary range
Currently $115,270 up to $118,982 p.a. with potential for future AHST Pay Equity translation to $124,500 to $130,000 p.a.
