We're looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to join our team, who will be integral in driving HSW to the next level across all Council functions.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Develop and implement HSW programs tailored to the unique environment of Christchurch City Council
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits
- Provide expert guidance on HSW compliance and best practices
- Collaborate with Council teams to ensure the well-being of our employees and the community
- Build and foster relationships with leaders, staff and key stakeholders to enable meaningful collaboration
- Continuously educate, coach and mentor managers and employees in health, safety & wellbeing business systems and processes, therefore advancing our health, safety & Wellbeing culture.
- Identify areas of improvement, make recommendations and implement the processes.
- Undertaking investigations, reviewing, and developing systems and strategies and working alongside operational teams to advise on risk and best practice Health, Safety and Wellbeing.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

- Solid analytical & reporting skills and the know-how to demonstrate your ability to identify opportunities for improvement of operational performance in a business
- Your passion for health, safety and wellbeing will be apparent as you partner with stakeholders within the organisation.
- Your written and verbal communication skills, as well as your strong computer literacy will afford you every opportunity to succeed in these diverse and rewarding roles
- Previous experience in Health, Safety, and Wellbeing
- Familiarity with Christchurch City Council operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Location_ - This position is primarily based at 53 Hereford Street. Christchurch._
Salary - _The salary band for this position goes from $70,422 to $108,352 with the mid-range being $90,293. _
