Ko ake mahi - What you'll do
As a Senior Solicitor you will be responsible for providing providing high-quality, system minded and client-focused legal advice and provide support to the Chief Legal Advisor and Deputy Chief Legal Advisor. This includes undertaking leadership responsibilities within the Team and Ministry, as required, such as leading projects and continuous improvement initiatives, and coaching and supporting staff on a daily basis.

Ko pūkenga - What you'll bring
- Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand
- Hold or eligible to hold a practising certificate
- Strong background in public law, policy making and legislative development
- Up to date knowledge of NZ Legislation (Official information Act, State Sector Act, Privacy Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, Public Finance Act, Employment Relations Act)
- Familiarity with government processes and the machinery of government
