DevOps Platform Capability Lead

**What will you be doing?**

Reporting directly to our Platform Engineer Manager, the DevOps Platform area of capability is a vital aspect of our vision to deliver Digital and Data driven solutions for Tower.

To help us accelerate this strategy you will own our capability framework. Governing and developing the framework to ensure that we continuously improve our ability to understand the customer impact of change while delivering safely and swiftly. You will be spending time in this leadership style role and on the tools.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to do the following tasks:

- Ensure that we create and maintain software with proper SDLC and ITIL process that adhere to a set of minimum standards to meet an evolving warrant of fitness
- Support the Capability of the Platform to deliver software swiftly and safely while understanding customer impact
- Support the Capability of the Chapter and its members
- Support the Capability of the Product to meet the needs of the Customer
- Take a holistic approach to the wider development objectives, ensuring the beautifully simple and rewarding customer experiences
- Working with CXO and Platform Delivery Lead as a Key stakeholder to ensure Quality
- Full cross squad awareness - what work is going on, what state is it in, how it all fits together. The macro view of the platform deliverables

**Setting you up for success**

Our top-of-the-range onboarding programme will ensure you feel part of the Tower whanāu in no time. You will be exposed to all business units to fully understand how Tower is working towards changing the insurance game. We will also ensure you buddy up with a team member during your onboarding stage to ensure you are set up for success.

**What you'll need**

**To be successful in this role, you will also be able to demonstrate the following**:

- Hands on experience, an expert within the field of capability of this role
- Firm understanding of Architecture, SDLC and Product development
- Demonstrated experience in making decisions based on data and business value
- Experience in working in scaled Agile delivery and ways of working
- Real world experience in hands on technical delivery or in an operational support role.
- Practical experience working in a DevOps environment and with tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Azure, Ansible, Jenkins, Helm
