** Risk Advisor **to join our Clinical and Quality team. This role will preferably be based in Auckland, but there is flexibility for someone Wellington or Christchurch-based. **About the Role**:
This is an exciting opportunity to gain further expertise in a Risk Advisor role, working with the wider Clinical & Quality team to enable the effective implementation of the risk management framework within BVAC New Zealand. You will promote a learning and continuous improvement culture, while building risk capability and creating a positive and transparent risk culture.
**Where You'll Make an Impact**:
- Be an advocate for a robust and transparent risk culture while leading by example.
- Provide coaching and training to build skills and understanding in areas related to risk management.
- Support incident and issue management processes.
- Engage and connect with business leaders to develop, build, and maintain knowledge of business objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify, analyse and evaluate risks with the objective of developing or updating risk registers.
- Work collaboratively with the wider APAC Risk & Governance team to support risk and governance initiatives in BVAC NZ.
**What About You**:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Risk Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Risk Manager Accreditation (RIMS, RMIA or similar).
- Strong analytical skills to convert risk and incident data into meaningful information.
- Ideally 5+ years’ experience in Risk Management roles in large organisations in financial services, insurance and/or healthcare.
- Experience in contributing to risk workshops, stress, and scenario tests.
- Experience in effective control verification and associated documentation.
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management and audit principles, methods, and techniques.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and reporting skills.
- Expertise in planning, organisational, computer literacy, and prioritisation skills.
- Attention to detail, curiosity, and ability to prioritise and manage deliverables.
**Extra Reasons to Belong**:
- This role is a hybrid role where you can be based either in Auckland, Christchurch, or Wellington.
- Hybrid role of 3 days in office, 2 days work from home after initial training period where you will need to be in the office full time.
