**About your role**

We are currently searching for an experienced Production Manager at our Mount Maunganui site to manage the manufacturing of our chemical products, whilst meeting health, safety and quality requirements.

In this role, you will provide guidance and leadership to the site operational teams whilst driving and championing continuous improvement in the quality of operations and training. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation of the plant by fault finding technical issues and compliance across various processes.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee day to day operations of production, driving the business toward maximum productivity
- Develop and implement systems and procedures to support production processes to meet the business requirements
- Ensure that process operators of the manufacturing plant at Mount Maunganui have the capability to deliver their targets
- Ensure that the production processes are documented and continuously improved or simplified
- Trouble shooting plant down time issues and determining and implementing corrective actions
- Compliance with both IXOM and statutory SH&E requirements
- Managing product rework to ensure that levels are kept to a minimum and that there is a low level of disposed product
- Contribute to the S&OP process and manage production scheduling in line with business and customer requirements

**Who are we looking for?**
- Preferred qualifications; Tertiary level Mechanical or Process Engineering or another form of Engineering degree
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing or operations, previous Supervisor / Manager role, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability and experience in leading teams in a supervisor or manager capacity
- Demonstrated safety performance record
- Previous experience in Lean or continuous improvement initiatives
- Good knowledge of company SH&E standards and statutory regulations
- Experience in SAP Transactions
- Permit to work experience including confined space entry
