Don’t miss this opportunity to be an integral part of the team at our facility in Papakura. The purpose of the Quality Assurance Technician is to conduct a range of quality tests and coordinate samples for incoming raw materials, in-process and finished goods, and interpret and report on results relating to Asahi and customer quality and microbiological standards. The Quality Assurance Technician will also monitor the calibrate test equipment, conduct internal audits against Asahi requirements, and monitor GMP on site.
**Please note**: This role will require flexibility to work on a 24/5 roster and requires flexibility between days/afternoons and nights. Optional weekend work may be available and flexibility to work these shifts will be advantageous.
**Key responsibilities**
- Coordinate the collection and complete the despatch of all routine microbiological testing samples, whilst maintaining and improving the cleaning and sanitation program
- The ability to gain and provide advice, support and information to ensure effective delivery quality KPI’s
- Support site internal audit and external audit programs by maintaining compliance to site, national and customer requirements related to hygiene, sanitation and microbiological compliance.
- Own the supplier performance program for sanitation/cleaning chemical service providers which includes regular reviews and driving improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement in the areas of cleaning & sanitation as well as microbiological compliance. Lead relevant projects to meet objectives.
- Support the process control Quality Assurance Technician when necessary.
**About You**
As a key member of the Quality Team, your resume will ideally demonstrate prior experience in Quality roles within a FMCG / Food manufacturing environment. Alternatively, you are a recent graduate in a related area.
In addition, you will possess:
- A demonstrated passion for quality through prior study and/or experience in a related discipline
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed Project Management skills
- Excellent relationship management ability
