Within Regulatory Change we empower regulatory change programmes and business areas to understand new obligations, how they impact ASB and provide practical support, oversight and challenge to implement and achieve sustainable compliance. **Mo te tūranga** | **About the Role**: Exciting opportunity at ASB Join us in supporting the Head of Regulatory Change to manage and oversee regulatory change, as we continue to face into a considerable agenda of regulator priorities. Your role involves leading the obligations management process to implement regulatory change, alongside developing and executing strategic initiatives for efficient and safe implementation. Key responsibilities include: - Ensuring regulatory change is executed within ASB's obligations management framework - Providing a Line 2 assessment of the effectiveness of processes and controls implemented to achieve compliance with obligations in regulatory change initiatives, including thematics and insights. - Advocating for sustainable compliance solutions with a customer-focussed approach. - Distilling complex legislative requirements into clear obligations for ASB. - Enhancing the competencies of team members in the Regulatory Change and Obligations Management Team as well as the broader Line 2 Compliance Team. - Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with regulatory change programmes, risk and other business stakeholders. By embodying these roles, the Regulatory Change and Obligations Management Team plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization's adherence to regulatory requirements and fostering a culture of sustainable compliance. **Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?** In today's fast-paced work environment, the ability to navigate complexity and juggle competing priorities is vital. A strong risk, compliance or legal background and effective communication plays a pivotal role in establishing credibility and engaging with stakeholders at various organizational levels, from EGM to GM. - Minimum of 7 years' experience within medium to large corporates, ideally with risk, compliance or legal background. - Relevant tertiary and professional qualifications or equivalent business experience. - Strong knowledge of operational and compliance risk management and financial services regulation. - Ability to interpret legislation and explain its relevance/ impact. - Experience with executive level reporting and/or creating data-led insights would be beneficial.
