The appointing salary for this role will be between $100,000 and $120,000, dependent on skills and experience.

The **The Assistant Head of School - Primary Industries** is based in our Faculty of Commerce and Technology | Te Pūkenga reporting to the Head of School, Primary Industries and will be responsible for:

- **Ensure Programme Quality**: Maintain the highest standards for all school programmes, including quality assurance practices.
- **Resource Management**: Oversee staffing, resources, and timetabling requirements for the Hawke's Bay PI team.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Lead and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and develop professional networks locally and nationally.
- **Staff Development**: Manage recruitment, orientation, mentorship, performance reviews, and professional development for staff.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- **Leadership and Management**: Strong leadership skills with experience in managing staff and resources effectively.
- **Communication and Networking**: Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain professional networks.
- **Quality Assurance**: Knowledge of quality assurance practices, including moderation, evaluations, and self-assessment.
- **Strategic Thinking**: Ability to identify and pursue new opportunities for the school, ensuring continuous improvement and growth.
