The Eastern Institute of Technology is looking for a **School and Community Liaison Administrator** to join the Nourishing Hawke’s Bay (NHB)team. This team is funded by A Better Start National Science Challenges programme and has been working on food security and mātauranga Māori, with a focus on the impact on the health of tamariki and rangatahi of the government school lunch programme _Ka Ora, Ka Ako._

This new NHB: _Whiriwhiria, kia ora ai te tamaiti_ team will have a broader focus, including examining the impact of the food system and Mātauranga Maori on the health, learning and resilience of children and their whānau in the wider context of the four rohe of Wairoa, Ahuriri, Heretaunga and Tamatea and the regional food system in Hawke’s Bay.

**If you are experienced in administration and liason, committed to improving tamariki health and wellbeing, and have some of the skills in the following areas, and especially if you have tikanga and te reo Māori skills then this position is for you**:

- Be the main point of contact between NHB, schools and the community
- Organise and coordinate project events as required, including professional learning and development with schools, and community seminars
- Coordinate the network of school cooks, including running networking events and social media group
- Market the project through social media
- Coordinate casual research assistants who will assist with data collection in schools
- Coordination of weekly team meetings, agenda and minutes
- Familiarity with the Hawke’s Bay region (travel to schools will be required)
