**About the role**:
This is an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time position as a Payroll and Finance Specialist where you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role and be an integral part of a newly created Finance Team. Your expertise will be crucial in payrolling employees and helping the overall finance team.

**Some of your responsibilities will include**:

- Processing weekly and monthly end-to-end payroll for around 100 employees (2 days a week)
- Generating payroll reports, journals and accruals
- **Accounts Receivable**:

- Issue invoices to customers ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to track outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments
- Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies, negotiate payment terms, and facilitate collections.
- **Accounts Payable**:

- Review and verify invoices received with compliance with purchase orders or contracts
- Prepare and process payments to vendors within established payment terms.
- Maintain vendor accounts and payment records, reconciling statements and resolving discrepancies as needed
- **Financial Data Entry and Recording**:

- Enter financial transactions into the accounting system accurately and promptly, including invoices, payments, journal entries, and adjustments.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring proper documentation and file management.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

**About you**:

- Previous experience working with payroll and finance
- Strong understanding of New Zealand employment legislation
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and MS Office suite. (The client uses datapay)
