**Claim Consultant - Consumer Property Claims**

We have two exciting opportunities (8 months secondment and permanent role), for Claims Consultants to join our Business Property teams in Christchurch. The purpose of the role is to manage a portfolio of claims in accordance with best practice to deliver the brand promise in a cost effective manner.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Manage customer relationships, interactions and expectations to ensure customer satisfaction and delivery of the service promise.
- Manage claims in accordance with best practice and authority limits to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the service promise to the customer and minimisation of claims leakage.
- Proactively develop and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners to ensure: ongoing relationships; Vero market and brand perception is developed and maintained; and effective claims outcomes are achieved.
- Liaise with Claims Supply and supply partners to adhere to best practice for claims appointments in order to facilitate the timely, accurate, efficient and cost effective handling of all claims.
- Identify and escalate claims beyond expertise and/or authority limits to ensure: process adherence; customer satisfaction; protection of the Vero brand; and minimisation of claims leakage.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes and participate in their testing, in order to contribute to the overall efficiency and cost effectiveness of the Claims Operations function.

**.What you will need to succeed**:

- At least 2 years of industry experience is preferable Desired
- Extensive customer service experience - face to face and/or telephone
- Experience with claims management systems e.g. Solvit/Lotus Notes/Toolshed/web preferable
