**About the Company**
A top tier construction company that takes on a wide range of projects, including commercial, industrial, education, and building fit-out. They are looking for a Construction Manager to oversee the construction operations in South Island and lead an ambitious team of engineers and other construction professionals.

**Main Duties**
Your responsibilities will be:

- Leading a team consisting of PMs, PEs and other construction professionals.
- Managing and controlling all aspects of the company's projects in South Island, including H&S, commercial & contractual aspects to ensure that projects are completed on time, within the budget, and to a high quality standard.
- Overall planning and programming of the works.
- Staffing and management of the team.
- Management of subcontractors to meet objectives and project deadlines.
- Looking after multiple projects (around 5 projects at once) ranging from $10-15M to $180M.
- Managing the PM, working closely with the Commercial Manager, will report to the Regional Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a similar area.
- 15+ years of post graduate experience in Project Management of construction projects.
- Must be well-experienced with planning/programming, contractual acumen, quality control & safety management, team management, and commercial aspects of the project.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Willingness to travel within the South Island will be required.
