**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

**Exciting senior nursing role **Bring your expertise, your knowledge and your skills to make a difference around the way we approach our mahi to better meet patients, whānau and stakeholder needs. You need to be a master in relationship building, and liaising with a multi-disciplinary group.We have a great opportunity for a senior registered nurse with strong leadership and advanced nursing skills to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. This is a key role within the Surgical Services Team and has a strong focus in **General Surgery**

In this role your responsibility will be to provide specialist nursing care and/or case management when required to the Acute Surgical patient population. This is your chance to deliver professional and clinical leadership, patient care co-ordination, education and clinical teaching to patients and staff. The role covers primary, secondary and tertiary care of complex patients.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

You will be a Senior Registered Nurse with, **at least** 3-5 years post graduate experience preferably in General Surgical/Trauma and be practicing at a senior level. You will be joining a supportive senior nursing team who are committed to effective/evidence based nursing practice. You will also have the opportunity to work autonomously.
