Senior Advisor, Integrity, Ethics and Standards

Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.
The Integrity, Ethics and Standards Group provide system leadership to promote a strong unifying culture and high standards of integrity across the public service.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Advisor able to work with and through others to lead projects across our diverse and ambitious work programme. This is an opportunity to develop policy advice, design and deliver interventions to influence change at a system level, and to contribute to high-profile projects that fit your skills and interests.
You will have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with experience working in partnership with others. You will be a critical and deep thinker, who with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex matters simply and at pace. A legal, public management or policy background is an advantage.
In this role you will be supporting implementation of public service reform, including to nurture the spirit of service that public servants bring to their work and supporting agencies to uphold public service principles and values. We do this in several ways, and you could be working on things like:
- supporting agencies to ensure high standards of conduct and integrity supporting the development and implementation of open government initiatives
- providing high-quality advice on a broad range of integrity, active citizenship, and open government matters delivering an awards and recognition programme for the public sector. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an agile, dynamic team undertaking challenging, varied, and important work in a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
In response to growth in the new and exciting work we do, we have a number of positions available. Although this is advertised as a permanent role we are also open to considering 12 month fixed term or secondments.
This position usually pays between $99,200 to $116,700 depending on skills and experience.
