**About the Club**:
Pt Chevalier Tennis Club is a vibrant and friendly, community-oriented club in central Auckland (6 courts with lights) with a strong membership base and active junior and senior programs year round. We are seeking a qualified and motivated Head Coach to lead and develop a comprehensive coaching program that supports players of all ages and levels, from beginners to competitive interclub players.

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and lead a coaching program for juniors, adults, and interclub players across all levels
- Deliver engaging, technically sound sessions that prioritise player development
- Structure group sizes and formats to maximise ball contact time and individual attention
- Provide private and group coaching options during both term time and school holidays
- Develop clear junior progression pathways, including interclub preparation and tournament support
- Support player retention through positive results and measurable improvement
- Assist with club events, competitions, and member engagement activities
- Build relationships with local schools to promote grassroots tennis (Point Chevalier Primary, St Francis Primary, Pasadena Intermediate, and Western Springs College)

**Essential Qualifications and Skills**:

- Tennis New Zealand or internationally recognised coaching qualification (minimum Junior Development Coach or equivalent)
- Current First Aid Certificate and Police Vetting (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coach both junior and adult players at beginner and competitive levels
- Experience in developing interclub or tournament-level juniors preferred
- Ability to work as part of a club team, including liaising with committee and volunteers

**Desirable**:

- Experience managing assistant coaches or developing a team

Familiarity with school outreach and community engagement programs
- Proficiency in using online tools for scheduling, communication, and promotion
